I have been a qualified Social Worker since 2000. My service expertise has been in child protection, quality assurance, complex investigations, court work and assessments, where I have worked extensively with supporting and assessing families. I have previously been a social worker and registered manager of a residential family centre where I worked for 7 years. I have had supervisory experience of staff since 2007 and have also worked as Business Manager for a Safeguarding Children’s Partnership. I am passionate about providing good quality parenting assessments which offers families the best chance possible in remaining together. At TFAS, this is made possible through a social work led service, an extensively experienced staff team and a therapeutic approach to assessment and support.

I have been a qualified social worker since 2001. I have always worked in Local Authority, first as a social worker and then progressed to Team Manager. As a social worker I progressed to Advanced Practitioner and have experience of complex care proceedings, safeguarding, completing parenting assessments and connected carer assessments. I have a lot of experience of working with children who have various needs such as, Sexual Harmful Behaviours, Child Sexual Exploitation, Child Criminal Exploitation, Emotional & Behavioural difficulties, Self-harm and prolific absconding behaviours. When I became a Team Manager I was responsible for setting up a new team specifically aimed at supporting children to live with family members, when their birth parents were unable to care safely for them. I also have experience of being a Team Manager in a Fostering Service and in a Children Looked After team. I am passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people. I have been involved in many reunification plans and always try to keep children within their family network where it is safe to do so.
